Dear All,
I am conducting research on the life experiences of adult children of alcoholics,or other problem drinking and was wondering if any of you would be willing to share your experiences. how life was for you as a child; how having an alcoholic parent has shaped where you are in your life today; how you have coped? what support you have recieved if any?
my interest comes from working with alcoholics and problem drinkers over the past year as an alcohol counsellor. my interest in the families of my clients has geared me towards conducting this research.
Any thoughts you would like to share would be greatly appreciated. I imagine it may be difficult to talk about & nothing you write would be used elsewhere it is simply a way of broadening my knowledge of your experiences. If you prefer to email me privately then please do so.
