How many people do you know who buy Lotto tickets every week or however often the lottery runs? I usually only buy one when the jackpot is over $10 million. Not that I expect to win, but $4 now and then is something I can afford. I think the most I ever won was on a 50 cent ticket you peel to see if you match three symbols and I won $100. Woo!

No one amongst my friends plays the lotto. It's against our faith, but back at home I used to do this.

My grand mother is addicted to the Lotto. It gets worse when the jackpot gets bigger as she starts spending lots more on the stupid tickets. My uncle won half a million dollars once and he spend it all within one year.

I splurged $4 yesterday on a ticket. I haven't checked yet to see if I won. I might be a millionaire and don't know it! LOL. Incidentally, the jackpot was $22 million, I think. I'm pretty sure I didn't win.

Playing for free is great than investing money in lotto, i think you dont have to loose anything by doing so

For me, it's a now-and-then thing. But I do know people who spend money every week on tickets, and sometimes $20 or more at a time. That's crazy, to me.

Back on the east coast there are a number of people who were hardcore lotto addicts. This addiction fueled much of the underground gambling industry

It only takes one ticket to win but some people spend more than they can afford on lottery tickets. I will spend a few dollars here and there.

I always find it funny when people say they only buy when the jackpots are "BIG". Like a $1 Million dollar jackpot won't help you but a $50 million jackpot will.

I never have played the National Lottery. I personally think that it is obscene that the government encourages gambling in this way - making it acceptable.

Well I was never quite interested in lottery thing. I mean what are the odds of winning a lottery amongst so many. So it ever quite fascinated me.

I personally only know a few people who buy lotto tickets and it is not even every week. They buy once in a while maybe two times a year or so. Some more frequently than others. But as for myself that is not my thing, so I do not buy them.

Well, Lotto isn't that bad of an addiction and most people don't spend fortunes on tickets, they buy maybe 2 or 3 per week, which is ok. $5 a week won't put anyone into bankruptcy. I mean the odds are obviously against you but its one of those things where I personally think its ok to test your luck a bit.

In my country people are insane about buying lottery tickets, the jackpot is usually arround 2 million dollars. The 6 out of 49 game is the most popular game, with only one draw per week. Usually the draw is on the last day of the week so people gather hundreds at different lotteries just to buy a ticket hoping to win the jackpot, but sadly the games seem to be hacked these days in Romania, so people don`t spend that much anymore. Personally i know few people that spend nearly half their wage for lottery tickets. This is absurd, the chance to win at least 3rd category, this meaning you have to guess 4 numbers out of 6, the chance is very small but people still hope.. I don`t play the lottery , only played a few times before Christmas and Easter holidays when the Jackpot reached nearly 15 million $.
