I have a friend who has tried a supplement product call AA(2) from Rethink Recovery. It has a blend of different amino acids, omega oils, and vitamins. There is one dose in the morning and a different one before bed that helps with sleep and overnight recovery. He said that it does take the edge off and is supposed to help repair/rebalance brain chemistry over time and increase dopamine levels that have been depleted with years of alcohol and crystal use.
There is a lot of scientific research that has been done on these supplements and the test groups have a much better record of staying sober over the placebo group. I read about the research and the testimonials and it looks pretty impressive. Sounds a lot better to use natural supplements than replacing one drug with another drug that the doctor prescribes.
