Hi all,
Don't you think that it is much better to legalize weed. I mean hard liquor for example is much more damaging to people then herb.

Yes , i too think it should be legalized but should not sold like cigarrettess , its should be kept well in control

I think it is well under control in the Dutch system for example. Don't forget that once you legalize it then it takes away a lot of the thrill for youngsters to try the magic herb.

It also takes away a LOT of the danger, and that I am all in favour of. There is far too much danger involved with being around dealers, and the shady kinds that they are hooked up with.

I tend to agree that it should be legalized. I suspect the drug dealers would keep coming up with new drugs to sell, though.
Maybe whatever taxes would be involved could be invested in other drug law enforcement.

but i think if MJ is legalised , its use will be less , bevause many people use drugs just to defy law and rule

Exactly, when I was in school in Holland I knew almost no kids who would smoke weed. However when I worked in Florida for a while, it seems that everyone was smoking hash and grass.

I think its because its legal in the netherlands, people don't feel the need to do it because it isn't really bad. Here, I guess people get a rush out of it.

Since most people use drugs to defy rules and once you legalize it theor's no fun in using it

I think that MJ should be legalized. I mean how many people have gotten in a car and killed someone while high? I mean, it totally slows you down and I dont' feel like doing much but just sit and watch TV.

I don't see a problem with legalizing marijuana and subjecting it to the same taxes and so on as other addictive products (cigarettes and alcohol), but it'll probably be a long time before we see legalization in Canada and the US.

Same as here in the Philippines. Knowing that marijuana is strictly prohibited in our country so it would be impossible to happened that marijuana will be legalized. Well I'm very much against on it.

I have a feeling that if MJ is legalized then its use will become low dramatically , there are many people who use drugs just to defy rules and if it becomes legal then they might now use it.

I am all in favor of legalization. The plant itself has never done something bad. What we should be against is the criminal gangs and the only way to beat them is to legalize the very thing they thrive on.
I am really not opposed to legalization. Whether people will admit it or not, MJ has been comsumed by so many millions of people it is pretty much long since been "mainstreamed"

Canada already has more lax marijuana laws than the US.

i beleve that no drugs should be legalize whatsoever. I mean are always going to harm you then why to legalize them. We all have seen the effect of ciggerettes. It would be better if government do not lagalize it.

Yep. I would too like to vote for leagalization of Mj. Its a natural herb and I think pretty safe rather than other stuffs like cocaine and meth.

The point is that weed on its own doesn't harm you, so why not legalize it. I agree that people would be less interested if it was allowed, and I doubt people would appreciate paying tax on it. It would become as expensive as smoking fags.

I guess if they make it legal , then more people would be addicted and moving up to the next drug. I like the idea that my kids cant get to it easily.

I'm of he same thought that weed should be legalized. That way, people can't make money smuggling it. Once that drops, the gangs that smuggle it will go out of business and the streets would be safer. I do not think it will cause a rise in the number of people that are addicted.

No I don`t think marijuana should be legalized , it is a drug if I was the one to choose I would ban alcohol and cigarettes too.

If they legalised mj then it will become mass produced by company's and most likely be chemically modified and of a very low grade. It would still be illegal to cultivate it personally because dealers will still sell and make money on just by avoiding tax. So it will still be smuggled like ciggarettes and alchohol and create similar problems. Why would the government want this when the can just ban it altogether??

yeah i'm srry to tell u but if ur kids want to find a drug they don't have to look very far. all it takes is for ur kid to meet 1 person in school who does it or even kno sum1 in the family who does it. kids arent stupid if they want it they kno where to look. and for all the people in the U.S. who want weed legalized then stop talking about it and do something about it

I hate to burst your bubble shadow, but drug dealers don't ask for ID. It's easier for your kids to get weed than it is for them to get alcohol or tobacco. If it's legal and regulated like alcohol and tobacco, it actually makes it harder for kids to get. I'm 38yrs old, and I still get carded sometimes buying cigarettes!

The fact that one has to go underground to buy weed in my opinion is the greatest danger. This leads one to the availability of other more harmful drugs wich one would probably never get near. I remember back in the day I would find a pot connection and then I would be exposed to several other substances. Being very young and not so wise I had to try them all. Bad idea looking back.
