I am addicted to hydrocodon. I have 3 herniated disks and 3 bulging disks. My job is very physical! I started codon about a year ago. My doctor decided to try me on suboxone to get off the codon! I am having a horrible time. It is making me extremely drowsy and very nauseas! Also very high ,Too high I cannot function! He put me on 2 pills 3 times a day. Instintly sick. I would feel better when it started to wear off, take my dose and get sick again. today I took half a pill and still got sick! I am not taking another pill! Now what should I do?::eek:

I've heard that hydrocodone is very addictive. I have a prescription for it but only take one when the back pain is really bad. I take Ultram on a regular basis and haven't had any problems with it. Have you ever tried that? It's not as effective but it helps quite a bit with the pain.

Hydrocodone is really hard to leave . If you are really having problem with current doctor's treatment , then try somewhere else . I think some other way of treatment can help you better

Yes, I agree that this is a dangerous course of treatment. I cannot see why he would treat your addiction to one drug with an even more addictive drug. Ask for a second opinion.

The reason you are getting sick is because the suboxone is to strong for you. and as far as addiction to suboxone there are very low if any withdrawls.

First, suboxone in even small doses if used for longer than a month will cause severe withdrawl if stopped to fast.I have been taking 8mg 3 times a day for a year now and I can assure you, you do not want to run out! as far as the first post here, If condons are oxycontin and you started on the sub before you were in withdrawl from the condons. then you will get very sick very fast. you must be in withdrawl before your first dose. and it sounds as though your dose is high, are you on 8s or 2s? after 32mgs all the receptors are full and your wasting meds. and $$

I am taking 16mg of suboxone per day! It has saved my life. I am on a prescription assistamce program and get my siboxone for free. Thats about 600 dollars worth of Suboxone for free. I do have to pay for my office visits though. Its so worth it. You can find about the program on www.needymeds.com if anyone is interested. Also go to NAABT.com to find alot of info about suboxone. There is a message board there as well and you can get alot of info there. Have a good one Casey

I understand. I am on day 7 of Suboxone. My first two days were a nightmare. I was so sick to my stomach and very dizzy. Then I cut down the dose and felt better the next day. I have cut my dose in half in 7 days because I do not want to take these for more than 2 weeks. Have you phoned yur doctor? Maybe you are having an allergic reaction.

I took 24 mgs of suboxone for a long time. I tried to stop it when I was at 2mgs. I felt like I was going to die for over a month. Now, I am back to taking 2 mgs a day but tomorrow I will only take 1 mg a day. I hope this would be easier.
Is there anyone out there who has stopped suboxone in an easy manner? If you did or have any advise on suboxone, please answer this. I really need help with this. I do not want to feel sick again. It seems that most Doctors have no good answer.
Anyone that did stop suboxone and would like to help me..please write me back at gereonme@aol.com..thank you

If anyone has taken suboxone and gotten off of it easy or has any information at all about how they got off of it, please answer this post. I really need to hear from anyone who had experience with this drug. I tried to get off of it in the past and I felt sick for one month. I was on only 2 mgs. when I tried to stop. I went back on it and went up to 24 mgs. I am only taking the 2 mgs again and will go down to 1 mg tomorrow for a week. After that, I will try to skip the one to every other day.
any help or info would be greatly appreciated. thanks...DDDONNA
