I just started taking Lexapro last week and it is already helping a little bit. But it seems like I am more stressed in the morning and start feeling better in the afternoon. Is this how it starts working in some people? I have some Xanax too and sometimes take a half when I feel like I need. I'm hoping there are some people who DON'T have a really bad experience getting off of it. Is there anyone who did not have a lot of problems? I had a bad experience with Zoloft so I was scared to start another drug. Any advice?
Please help!

You should look for natural treatment of asthma. I read a book called asthma free naturally as written by Patrick McKeown. That this book is available online and details the Buteyko breathing method for asthma. He teaches Buteyko Breathing Clinic and many other methods. Have a look at www.asthmacare.ie You would surely be benefited.

I don't understand how Lexapro is supposed to treat asthma. Did your prescribing doctor explain that one to you? Doctors sometimes prescribe drugs "off label" if they feel it will help the patient, but this one baffles me.

Antidepressants are powerful psychotropic drugs. You cannot simply start and stop them without experiencing weird symptoms. I'd recommend you find out how your doctor believes Lexapro would help your asthma. See a specialist for the asthma and take his/her advice. This just doesn't sound like the right treatment for you.

There's nothing to be worry about medication because it's for your own good. If you're willing to be treated, be willing to sacrifice so that you'll get well soon.

Hi!
I have been taking lexapro for a year and have had really good results (after the four week adjustment period).

But for some reasonmy doctor just changed me from lexapro to welbutrin.

I still have 234 tablets left (20 mg each) I bought and can't use now! What a bummer.

The reason I have so many left is I had to fulfill my entire Rx so I could take them to Iraq for my armed service.

The wellbutrin makes me feel focused, energetic and happy.
Anyone else taking welbutrin?
