The book Close Your Mouth and ABC to be asthma free are self help books to
teach yourself the Buteykjo clinic method. They are available from
www.amazon.com for USA and amazon.co.uk for UK and other countries.

The Buteyko method is proven, safe and very effective. There is no other
complimentary therapy that gets the results that this gets. For example,
after ten and twenty years of coughing and wheezing, symptoms should be
reduced by 50% in two weeks.

Scientific trials as published in the New Zealand and Australian medical
journal concluded the need for preventer steroid medication to be 50% less
and the need for reliever medication to be 90% less within three to six
months.

It advocates nasal breathing, diet, correct exercise etc. Patrick McKeown is
a renowned practitioner. He is one of a few people in the world to be
accredited by the Late Professor Buteyko and his clinics are the highly
effective www.asthmacare.ie This method is suitable for all children over five years, sports players and asthmatics young and old alike regardless of severity.

This sounds interesting. Is it safe? Will it be approved in the US? I've heard that some steroids are safe.Is this a safe one?

I read recently that teens who eat more fish and fruit are suffering from less asthma. Interesting correlation.

I observed to my cousin who is asthmatic that she inhale the water evaporated from a cooked rice. Because she feel better if she do it. I don't know what is really the explanation of this. Anyone knows?
