Consumption In Advertising

I believe in Canada that advertising laws don't allow someone to be seen drinking an alcoholic beverage. I think that there was a time that pouring a drink in a TV ad wasn't allowed, either.

Is this the case in other countries?

Yes , in my country to advertisment of alcohlic drinks is banned , but still companies use sarogate ads to advertise theri products

Every country have different laws and rules regarding alcohol. Some countries allow alohol in ads wheras others do not. In my country also it is not allowed.

In many countries goverment is very strict with drinking laws and it is good as the advertisement have huge effect on the people and if drinking is introduecd in advertising then it will act as justification for drinking.

At our country too alcohol advertisements are banned but as one of the folks pointed out above, they use surrogate ads to advertise for their products.
