Do u think blind faith in something is good for human beings ?

I have seen many people in my place you are blindly following things said by religious leaders . How can this be treated ?

I am not so sure that it needs 'treating' as the people need to learn to think for themselves. The bible itself tells us that we should not lean on our own understanding, but equally it is wrong to just take what a leader says as the truth. It is not wrong to want to see the evidence, the scriptural basis, or the historical backing for what they say.

Yes , thats right . but still one need to follow someone . For a human being there are lots of option to choose for a faith.

Actually, some people believe on wrong religious teachings because the preachers are too good in convincing people. Almost all words that come out from their mouth are pleasing to hear. I have a neighbor who practiced rituals like voodoo.

I think these people when they go to listen to these preachers, they leave their thinking capacity back home and take every word that the preachers says as universal truth

It's tricky. I define faith as believing in something I can't prove but trusting in it anyhow. So yes, when these false teachers and cults start talking, people have "faith" in the wrong things.

I find this topic very interesting. I heard someone say once that when someone thinks that they have all the answers to religion, that is very scary.

I think that education about different religions would be a good thing for a lot of us.

People who say they have all the knowledge actually try to pull other people under their influnce. Actually people dont have all the knowledge and when they hear that someone has it , then they just get pulled to him .

Its just way to brainwash people

Having the faith to believe in something that is not heard or seen. How can that be harmful after all you are taught to have faith in yourself even in times of adversity. So why not have faith in other things as well.

I don't think its really a bad condition that needs to be treated. Faith by meaning is pretty much blind. If you had a scientific explanation for it, it really wouldn't be faith, now, would it. Just believing because you think its right is enough at times. Having optimism and that someone higher is always looking out for you makes the day go smoother.

No not at all. We must realize that we are living in the 21st century. We are not that old species who blindly follows everything that our ancestors told us.

Faith is very important for going on a particular path but having blind faith sometimes proves to be a problem as they do anything for a command from religious leaders

Well faith is important for us but when it turns into blind faith than it will not good. I only believe in something that is I heard or seen. But many people believe in something that is not heard or seen. In my country you would find out lot's people who are still live with blind faith.

Blind faiths are some useless principles in the society. but how can we know which faith is blind and which one is meaningful? Who will guide us?

Blind faith is not good for anything.
