One of my friend has been addicted to cocaine for last 6 years , he has been to rehab for 3 times but still whenever he comes out he cannot stop himself and again starts using it . He is himself tired of it but his body and mind is not leaving it . How can he stop using it ?

I think when rehab fails this often then the person needs to seek another resolution before attempting rehab again. There must be a reason why the person keeps turning to it, and that is what needs to be dealt with right now-if that means mental health intervention, then that is what must be done.

How long is your friend had been rehab? I think your friend need a longer stay in rehabilitation center, until such time that he himself will not go into cocaine like before.

He has been total of 1 year in rehab , but still the problem is same . I think now he has not control himself else there is no option

the most important is that your mind should be ready for if you want to get rid of cocaine. It seems as if he is not mentally prepared for it. First get him mentally prepared then only things will work for him.

If the first rehab fails, then you need to seek professional help from an outside counciler who is fully qualified to help in this situation. Seeking help from different sources is the key to solving the problem. Some people even request to be put under house arrest to help them with their addictions.

He needs to find out why he wants to take it, and address the problems that are leading him to addiction. He may also need to stop associating with the people he takes it with, as he'll never be able to give it up if he keeps up these friendships.

He should try to change he`s lifestyle first, stay way from druggies and try to join a As group or just see a psihologist.
