my cocaine background: I binge like crazy. eight balls can easily be consumed all alone, in a hotel room, in less than 12 hours. For two years I have been struggling. The drug is destroying my family, job, my physical well-being and on and on...

I found something thet helps: writing it down. after my last nasty, nasty binge I began writing down my thoughts and feelings. not structure, just a free flow of thoughts.

having this 'tool' to beat my addiction has really helped a lot. it's easy to let coke mangle your brain into believing you can handle it ...but you can't lie to yourself as easily when your coke experiences and feelings are written down right in front of you.

my "kick coke" experience blog is here:

I suggest you try writing one for yourself. it just might help. it's helping me stay REAL

But it can't help the physical side of the addiction. How are you handling that?

I'm unfamiliar with what you're going through, but the process of writing down a free flow of thoughts is part of a technique from the book "The Writer's Way."

Is that where you got the idea for that?

Thats a very nice way of beating the addiction but I dont think it will be able to suppress the physical urge of your body to the drug.
