What exactly is a methamphetamine? I have heard of several "meth labs" being "busted" in our neighborhood lately. I have small children and would like to educate myself on the subject. Any tips on how you can tell if they are being made near your home? I have heard that they have a distinct odor?

OMG, I WIKI everything and I don't know why I didn't think to do that in the first place.. Thanks so much for the reminder.. Using WIKI I will get accurate information too and not just a bunch of "opinions" on what it is or does!

To put it in concisely for everyone Methamphetamine is a highly addictictive and a stimulant drug which has its affect in some certain areas of the brain.
Actually it was discovered as a therapeutic drug with limited uses such as treating obesity related problems.
Generally it is made in illegal labs and has a very high potential for drug addiction. Methamphetamine manufactured in such illegal labs is more commonly knows as chalk, speed or meth by its street names.
The clear crystals of Methamphetamine hydrochloride are also called as ice or glass and can be inhaled by smoking.

I came to know about the effect of the methaphetamine addiction. it is really a dangerous one and we have to get away from that addiction. So i should aware my friends by telling this addiction effect to them. I really like this article. also i have got some to come out of addiction problem.
