I have lived in Southeastern Oklahoma most all of my life and I have read in our local paper day after day about people being arrested for MJ possession. I ask why people wanna do this? What is so great about the drug that over 40% of the population here are smoking it? i just don't understand.

The thing is -- the relaxation they get and comfort they feel for a slight moment after taking that drug is much better for them than getting caught by police. But they feel its heat when they are out of that addiction.

I had not thought about this particular drug being a sort of relaxant as opposed to a depressant, even though I think that is what it is classified as.. Thanks for the info!

One person told me its like having a beer after work. Locks the office door and opens the window and life just becomes bearable.
Medical people can get rest and relaxation from it and young people enjoy having sex while high on pot...it really does increase the sensation of the body..People with headaches never need to buy asprin, since mj helps those symptons..the list is endless....

In Canada there is medical use of marijuana. I believe it's for cancer patients.
I wonder if there's legal medical use of it in the United States?

Yes , these drugs do make people deppresed and hurt body but at the time of taking these drugs the addict feels immense pleasure where he forgets all the pain

Marijuana is also widely used casually by people who aren't addicted to any drugs.
On a comedy show, Rick Mercer interviewed the author Pierre Berton and had him describe the proper way to roll a joint on national TV.
When former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau was asked if he'd ever smoked marijuana, apparently his reply was "In which country?"

In our country there are also lots of MJ user. There were even a plantation of marijuana here. My friends told me that once he used it he is very smart and I don't know why?
I think that people smoke mj all over the world in huge quanities so OK would simply be "par for the course" as far as population comparison goes.
