Do you believe in God?
I'm proud to be a Christian in religion. 100% or more than that, I really believe in God simply because He's my Creator and Savior. How about you?

Goo to hear that at least we are at the same boat aima123. Actually, religion doesn't really matter, what's important is your faith in God. Religion will not save us but our Faith.

Do you think people who have faith in God, doesnīt commit themselves to drug addictions? There are people believes that drugs saves them and not their faith.

There are plenty of people who think that they can use all kinds of illegal drugs, and as long as they go to church and give their contribution, they will be "saved." This religion thing, in turn, is not helping in that sense.

Don't you know that some of the donations and other charitable works for the church come from Drug Lords?

Maybe they try to give some of their money to relieve 1% of their sins..hahha Thatīs what they think.

You're right schatzi. In addition, it's one way of showing gratitude and saying thanks for the increase of drug users nowadays. It simply means that their business is profitable. It's also a way of hiding their true colors from the authorities.

Donations to churches are also tax-deductible. Drug lords might be immoral but they're certainly not stupid.

I am a Christian with addiction problems, and am trying to work through the church to overcome my problems this time. I am not addicted to drugs, or alcohol or anything like that, but to spending money. Having almost lost our family home already, I worry that it's not enough. But ironically I can't afford treatment.
Have any of your succeeded in overcoming addition by faith alone?

Of course they are. If they weren't they wouldn't be drug lords; they would be inmates in a prison somewhere, serving time for the 'duty' they had performed for society.

I know where the money goes with the church I donate to because they have recovery houses for addicts, And I believe that if I'm studing Gods word and praying and letting him help me to be of sevice to someone in need then I'm doing the best that I can to be the person he created me to be, other peoples sin is none of my business, who am I to judge

Drug lords do really give a huge in Charity , because somewhere inside they also know that they are doing bad to the world and to find place in heaven they do that charity

Giving money will not buy one a place in heaven, and I do not believe that is why they do it. I think it is nothing more than trying to cover up-there may be ways that giving to charity helps them conceal other incomes or so on.
Jaimie, you are very right. I too know where the money in my church comes from, and also where it goes to so I have no concerns there either.

Oh I'm sure that's true. But there are also plenty of "losing my religion" types who go into drugs. On balance faith seems to do better at keeping people off drugs and helping them out of addiction, which is why the 12 step program is so reliant on it.

I totally agree with you that religion doesnt matter as much as faith does.
Religion is something to which we can attach our faith to which we cannot do it with other things.

I think that most people who have any religious affiliation will not argue that they believe in God. I think where the problem lies is that everyone is confused about who God is and what he has done. If ultimately your goal is to return to the creator then you all believe in the same god in my book.

100% Christian, Protestant though, not that I have much to protest about nowdays. I think it gives me strength in life no matter what I am going through. Knowing someone is always looking out after me certainly helps out alot.

I am proud to feel God, to get his blessings everyday for all my good deeds. I am also glad that he makes me realize of all my mistakes by punishing me.
