What is the best way that works instantly to get rid of addiction.

I have a friend who is highly addicted to cocaine and is really having very bad time. He is not able to stay at rehab and cant stop taking cocaine himself.

So what's the best way to get him out of it ?

There is NO WAY to get rid of addiction "instantly". The body has already adapted to needing the substance, and it needs time to get rid of that need. If your friend won't stay in rehab, then he's not going to get rid of the dependence. The scary thing about cocaine is that at any given moment, a single dose can stop your heart. It doesn't take an overdose to kill you.

You're right Lunatic. Being addicted to a certain thing is not easy to quit. But still I believe that it is in your own will and determination to quit it. Let me just share to you that my boyfriend has being addicted to drugs and fortunately time come that he feels pity to himself about his future. That's why he himself slowly stop it and successfully quit it.

Well I personally think that it should be great to spend some times with your family and friends because they provides better supports to get rid from such an addiction.

One more thing is to discuss your addictions with your family and talk to them about your serious intentions of getting rid of it. Dont fear their reactions on it because it will be temporary and ultimately they will want you to get back to normal.

You make it sound like something you can just throw away. it is not that easy. Let me tell you that recovering from an addiction is a long and often slow process that can cause people to rebound or give up on the recovery. It will take determination and a plan to recover from an addiction.

Addictions are really hard to get rid of. Its not something you can just toss aside. You need to seek help either from a abuse-help group, from a therapist, or some other professional that is qualified to give help. Most of all, you need a strong will. All the counceling in the world will be for naught if your not determined.

The best way that I know is to have your own will to give up addiction. Do meditation, yoga, pranayam. You will surely find your way to a successfull life.
