Hey everyone! Let me introduce myself, as... myself.

Right, now that formalities are out of the way, I'm pretty close to a group that is producing some material to help individuals struggling with sexual addiction on all levels... I decided to go online, but I'm having trouble findind discussion forums and threads. Google lead me here, but there were still only a few topics. I was first curious why there isn't an entire area devoted to discussion on this issue? Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks in advance for the consideration! As a new poster I know I don't have much power, but I thought I'd at least ask. :)

For people who really have this problem, the religion does nothing to stop them. Most of the addicts I've heard about are men. They do it more for power and control than the actual sex. Its a way for them to express their dominance, which unfortunately hurts other people.

I have heard something like this about a person who use to kidnap small boys and girls and kill them after sexually abusing them because he was a sex maniac

According to me, rape case have been increasing on a massive rate. So it would be convenient that government order the rapist to be HANG TILL DEATH.

I agree. Sex addiction is a very relevant topic. And there don't seem to be any forums on it here. It'd be useful especially for people in the more conservative areas where the anonymity of the Internet is a great tool for freedom of expression.

Seems to me that anything that provides a powerful reward mechanism is bound to be an addiction. When I think of addiction I think of the chaos and damage associated with the build up of unresolved issues that are waylaid by the reward coupled with the morass of crap built up in the persuit of the reward. A discussion of what sex addiction means in a persons life does not have to vulgar. A discussion of alcoholism doesn't have to be about what someone's favorite whiskey is.
