With the rise of these lawsuits against companies offering online gambling to US Citizens, do people here think that this is a good way to combat gambling addiction?
I have a view, but I'll wait to hear what others say.

I dont think that is going to an easy task. There also comes lots of other issues such as freedom rights etc. arguing if a person wants to gamble with his own money for a bit of pleasure then why should he be stopped from doing it.

Do I think that it is should be illegal? No! I think that the only reason why online gambling has been an issue in the U.S. is because the government is not able to tax companies that form outside the country and make money from the winnings of the U.S. Citizens. It is not about what is right or wrong for the people it is about money.

No,gambling should not be illegal. Its a freedom of rights issue. If I am an adult and I make money, then the government should not be able to tell me I can't just randomly piss it away. Of course, I shouldn't do that anyways, but it should be my choice, not the government's.

Very right in this case. My hard earned money is my money. No one has got the right to tell me what should I be doing with it.

Gambling should be illegal in third world countries and other cuntries that have a very low life standard, this would reduce considerably suicid acts , in consequence of gambling and it would also improve life standards.
