Charles Barkley tosses around millions of dollars due to gambling. He claims that he doesn't have a problem because he can afford such losses. So stated:

Charles Barkley used to win and earn big bucks because of gambling. I can say that he's already an addict because he's not contented of his winnings. He's asking for more and more. In addition, he used to bet big amount of money from his pocket.

The real question that I haven't heard anyone on television ask him, is if he quit if he needed to. He has clearly stated that he likes to gamble.

I don't know if his case should be called an addiction, or just a hobby of his. The fact is, that he has the money to participate in such events. I think the only way to tell if it's a problem is his bank account dropped to one-million, could he stop? If he couldn't stop, seeing that his supply is getting low, then he has a problem.
I hope we never get to see a news report that Barkley has gone broke due to gambling. Maybe he should get his act together before his does himself harm

He is certainly addicted to gambling. If in the begining a person loses in gambling then he always avoid going to casinos but if he wins then vice-versa.

Well we all know that it is a problem and until he admits that he is addicted he will never seek the help that needs. If he wants to throw away his money then that will be a lesson he needs to learn.

I'm not sure if I'd call it a problem. He has a whole lot of money and he makes quite a bit being a sportscaster(he's my favorite one and far superior to Bill Walton). However, he probably is somewhat addicted to gambling and should watch his habits.

Many sportsmen gamble, especially football players, I bet Barkley knows what he is doing, there is one thing with gambling, many people are just lucky.. they win over and over again and it never stops. lucky them, you have to be prudent and calculate your money available for gambling and there should not be any problem. Don`t play more than u can afford to loose, Nowadays I play small sums for fun , I try to be prudent and just take it as fun.
