I haven't been in rehabilitation area. Do you think the words in the Holy Bible are helpful for the fast recovery of the patients? Any idea?

What area? I would have to say right off hand, "no." I have never approved of the preaching of stories about a divine figure destroying a town, and I don't think telling someone that his/her town will be destroyed or flooded or invaded by locusts if the addiction isn't dropped.
If you are talking about the kinder parts of the book, then you are almost talking about converting someone; a person who is not stable, and that is like cheating.

I just wondered because there was a rehabilitation center in my place that teaches religious beliefs to all patients. And I heard it's effective for them.

There are lots of good words of wisdom in the Bible (and lots of murder, incest, rape and so on, but I digress), but there is also wisdom to be found in other holy texts and religions. I don't mind urging people to believe in a higher power, but I strongly object to proselytizing in the guise of helping someone.

Yes , religious verses do help to recover fast , they tend to have such effect on person that people get attracted to it

I agree that using a time of weakness to convert someone is wrong, if nothing else because the decision to be a part of a religion is something that should be done knowingly according to the bible. One must have real knowledge of the tenets of their faith.

But for use in recovery? This is a strange one. I think that for those who already HAVE faith, then yes, heavy bible reading, studying with someone could work wonders in helping them find the strength they need to get through. But if the person has no faith, it's likely to fail.

Of course if a person does not believe then it will be of no use. Still others will believe in God, but believe in the Torah or Koran rather than the bible. But the use of a book of faith can still be of help to these people.

Yes, I think that no matter which book of faith it is, that things like this
can help people who are sick or suffering. A positive attitude also helps in cases like that.

I agree with britjojo that using somebody's pain and weakness as a way to convert them is wrong. I don't think that the Bible and faith will help somebody unless they are already a believer.

Thats right , you cannot treat someone like that , but if you continously keep repeating those verses of bible , i do belive that they do create some magic on a person . Those lines of holy books do have some power
