I find is so hard to talk about what is going on. I need help but I am afraid and so I can't talk to the people that I need to. My life is in pieces and yet I still haven't got the strength to do what I need to.

How did you find the strength to seek help?

My children give me hope. It's as simple as that. Nothing more, nothing less. If you have children who support you; or even a loved one, then you feel like you can take on the whole world.

I was able to stand up to my addiction because of my little sister who needed me she was always there to try and help me and my addiction.
If it was not for my sis and her confidence to help me, then I may not be here today.

~Thanks.

That is a very good question. In order to stand up to your addiction you need to admit there is a problem that you cannot control and then seek the proper help. It is not easy asking for help by all means but it is something you need to do. Giving up your pride in order to be strong and ask for help only proves that you are a better person than you ever imagined you could be.

The strength lies within yourself and you have to just recognize it. You just need to identify your strength and harness it. Once you start doing it will feel the difference yourself.

People find it very difficult to admit that they have problem with their drinking. Once the person admits that he have problem with drinking then half of the battle is won and things become easier for him later.

Specialized help. like a doctor or a conceillor witll always make it easier for you t o solve your addciton problems. I have had hard times expressing my feeling about my addictions, some medication really helped me get the strengh I had before to say things by their name, this medication should on ly be take prescribed by a doctor it will give you more self confidence.

Kids really are a powerful motivation aren't they? I realise that I need to seek help and have started to do so. Hopefully I can come here soon as a recovering alcoholic.

I would reimagine the most stressfull circumstances that I have gone through in my life and then I would garther the strenght to face the present circumstances.
