Does the church that you attend know about your problem? Are they accepting of you still, or have you been warned that you have to clean up? Do you worry that you will lose the support of your friends?

Its diffcult for the church to deal with our problems as that do not understand us , so we have to find other ways of getting ans .

But understand or not they should be supportive and help you be strong. That is the Christian way.

I do not think that people within churches are as understanding as they should be. I think that if more people were willing to help then to condemn then we would be able to solve more issues.

The church is always there for support. Depending on the attitude of the Pastor, he can be helpful or discouraging. But there are always friends and fellowships within the church to help with your problems if you need support. Fellowships and small groups are a great way to build a support network.

The problem with a groups they want you to be is a way that may be you would not like to be . Its great that people are getting support form churchs but they should not try and push things on them .

Well, if your talking about trying to convert you to their faith, thats to be expected. To a Christian, everything comes from and through God and the purpose in life is to follow God's plan for you. If you go to a church for help on a problem, expect them to try to teach you their faith.

Unfortunately I find churches to me more judgmental than I can take. Its like they want to exorcise your demon of addition and then in five minutes with it gone you are all better. It doesn't work for me

The non-Christian people may consult a counselor. Even a Christian may consult a counselor. And thats the best way rather seeking help from the father or priest.
