Hi people I have some doubts regarding the alcoholism. My age is 20 and I am not a regular drinker I drink only on some occasions. I want to know that How would I know that I am getting alcoholic. What can I do to avid it???

The way to know it is that you abstain from taking alcohol for a day or two. And then notice any change in your behaviour or ask someone (a friend or a family member) to notice the change. If it turns out to be a bit irritating then you definitely are an alcoholic.

I don't think that will work much as he said he is not a regular drinker and there would not me any change in his mood. I think he should take some medical help to find out whether he is alcoholic or not.
Prevention is better then cure!! So get dependent so much on alcohol that you get alcoholic. If you are drinking once in a while then no probs but do not exceed more then this.

If your drink ocassionally you are definetely not addicted to alcohol, and don`t worry if you don`t change your drinking habbits you`ll never become an alcoholic. I hope you only drink small quantities on ocassions because drinking a lot can make you want more the next day or two..
