Well drinking too much alcohol makes you fat. Eating too little makes you sick. Therefore, being an alcoholic, makes you fat as well as sick. I don't see the point. Why do people want this?

Well actually the thing is that many a people do not know the consequences of the acts they are about to indulge in and even if they know it they are too weak-willed to resist the temptation.

Exactly!! Most people are aware of the fact that alcohol is bad but they don't know how bad it could be. There is awareness but not complete and incomplete knowledge is dangerous!!!

It's not about wanting to do it. I do not want to have to drink. But if I don't drink I start to suffer from DTs, and I just can't cope with them alone. In fact DTs can kill at their worst.
So I need help.

It is not necessarily something they want. In fact many people do not realize what is really going on nor do they understand the affects that their actions have on their bodies. The key point is to get help for those people.

Well if a person seriously contemplates for 10 minutes that the thing he/she is going to do is what he really wants to do, then the guy will get his answer and that too from himself. But practically speaking this does not happen everytime. What do you say?

Alcohol is not bad it is the excessive amount of alcohol is bad. Not only with alcohol but with other things also you have to be discipline if you want to have full benefit from it.

Many people have strong imunity sistem, and body they can drink all their lifes and have no problem with it, most people that get fat or sick just quit because they want to live their life not to die just because of alcohool, so in conclusion it depends on how strong a person`s health is.

But keep in mind the problem is not only that they know it is bad for them. Take a look at soda drinkers who know that the caffiene and the carbonated water is not good for them but they continue to drink it anyway. The very same thing with alcohol, if you cannot find out what the underlying problem is then knowing that something is bad is not going to stop you from doing it.

Getting help for those in need is one thing. Education is also very essential to help the younger children not become addicts of alcohol. I think that a program in a school for one year is not enough. Some schools have a program taught in 5th grade or so. That is not enough, they need to be continually taught each year while in their teens.

Alcohol has a addictive substance and people want to have that feeling all the time that is why they do tend to binged in alcohol. But as long as you don't abused it it is ok to have a good drink sometimes.
