So, how do you stop gambling? I don't quite understand it when people explain this problem to me. There's no substance addiction in gambling so why do people keep coming back if they are losing their life savings? It doesn't make any sense. How do you stop in reality? Do you just have to tell yourself to step away?

Well actually the addiction is of the thrill you get out of it. You are betting a lot of money and one moment decides whether you have won it or you have lost it all. So the thrill is the kick which you get out of it.

Gambling addiction is more more dangerous than any addiction a person can have, because you loose money, witch is supposed to be used for a living, food , bills , anything else that has to do with decent living. I used to gamble a lot when i was younger, these days I only gamble for pleasure, I don`t feel the rush for money inside me anymore. The best way to get rid of this addiction for ever, from my perspective is to try to avoid all the places where you used to gamble, even if your friends are there, try to meet your friends anywhere else but not in the gambling place.
