Well I was never quite much inclined to go temple for worshiping. All I used to do was just close my eyes just once in a day and say my prayers. But my parents always insisted me to visit to temple atleast once a week if not much.

I never quite understood the difference between praying at home and praying at a temple (Hindu place of Worship).

So I wanted to ask you guys that how important you guys consider going to your places of worship. Does it mean any different to you than praying at home?

The place is pretty important but it doesn't need to be a temple or cathedral. I just need a quiet place every day for a while where I can close my eyes, lift up prayers and talk to God. My apartment is usually good if there's not loud music outside.

Actually I've noticed that there is something different about a public place of worship. Whether its the holy aura of the place or something else, it does makes your mind calm.

I would not say that it is very important as you can pray at any place as long as you get into your inner self . Most people like to go and only sit there to get peace of mind .

We get a completely different environment in a temple or a church or a mosque. We feel the fresh air, and some sort of energy enters in our soul.
