Its very important to know how to deal with person who is alcoholic. How would you face a person who is alcoholic and you want to help him out??

I`ve had some experience with an alcoholic some time ago, it was my girlfriend`s dad. he drank all day long when he was at home. I never thought to help him out because he was very aggresive, he was beating up his only 2 girls everyday after he got drunk so even if I tried to help him I would not have been successful. Alcoholics are usually agressive how can you even get close to them especially when they are not drunk? They are more agressive then when they are drunk like a drug addict has craving if he does not take his dose.
