I am a coffee fan , I can`t go through a whole day without drinking at least 4 or 5 coffees , I drink them very sweet , even though I can stand sweets (except jelly`s) do I take my sugar intake from coffee? Does this explain why my body just doesn`t ask for sweets? I enjoy fruits and eat them regulary but we all know the sugar in sweets does not compare to the sugar in sweets.
I don't think the normal state of affairs is to crave sweets. I lived for years without ever eating sugar at all.
There are some people who have a "sweet tooth" and just like sweets. Others lean more toward preferring salty foods and don't care at all about sweets. (That's me.)
When people are under stress and/or reach the point of adrenal fatigue they'll crave sugar and/or salt.
Chances are you're not a sweet-lover (as you stated). Also, though, your coffee (with the energy boost from caffeine and lots of sugar) probably keeps you "up" most of the day. If you drink that much caffeine and sugar you probably don't ever get to where you get low blood sugar and need sugar to stop the shakes.
