Hi,
I have recently discovered that my daughter has been dating a drug-dealer. She now has around seven 2" long marks, like burn marks on her fore-arm.
Could someone please tell me if this is a sign of some drug use?
She says they happened whilst she was dancing.
Thanks

See my answer in the heroin addiction forum. It's possible she got them while dancing, if she was at a club which allows smoking, which means you don't live in Canada. :) Smoking is banned pretty much everywhere public here.
this is a really touchy subject to get into.
my first thought is that she is self-mutilating herself.
im not sure how you can ask her what the marks are, without her lying..

well she's certainly not injecting, coz the marks would be on her inner arms, not forearms, unless this is what you meant? What do they look like? If they really do look like burns, raised and scabby, then they probably are burns, although I agree with the above, that she has probably inflicted these apon herself, coz i've never know anyone get so extensively and frequently burned by a ciagarette.

Somw times people get very angry and they feel hurt and they try and take it out on them selfs . Some times they burn them selfs some time they take drugs .

From the way you describe it to me as well. I think that unless she has shown you are you think they are burns then there is big possiblity they are not burns. Many places around the US, no longer allow smoking in public places either. But you need to see them and then conduct your own search so that you can help her in any case.

If you could look closer to those sign you sure will make an ideea about where they come from, usually drug use leaves some bumbs on the fore arm in most cases, but I don`t deny she might have them from dancing, any way you take it your daughter is not safe dating a drug dealer and you should be doing something about it untill it is not too late.

Your daughter drug use cannot be guaranteed but you better be cautious about your daughter dating a drug dealer beacuse sooner or later she might get into it.
