Most of my gambler buddies promise to themselfes that they`ll never gamble after they loose some money, of course this promise is never held. If they win they just go back happily to their gambling addiction. Is this some kind of specific behaviour in gamblers?

I think its something which is true of many addicts. They will all vow to get clean or refrain from gambling but the very nature of addiction means that the lure is too strong and their back out in next to no time.
Also, with gambling this pull may be even stronger as they are chasing their losses in a lot of cases, which just makes the problem even bigger.

I think anyone can be cured , the person just has to realise he is addicted and has a problem, then go look for help, no one is to be blamed , but from my point of view there are just too many casinos all arround the world , they should ban the number of casinos per city, maybe this would help

That us basically the next bet might be it? way of thinking. People are just frustrated when they lose because of the feeling that sucks after losing money. Just like when you are soo drunk you would swore never to drink again but when the feeling is forgotten then you drink again, the same as through gambling.
