How does gambling affect on family?

As we all know that gambling causes a very deep problem financially and socially in family.How can we prevent gambling to enter into family and causing problems. Or if someone in a family is suffering than how can we prevent it.

Roxy you are perfectly right, you can prevent it by talking to the family memners , but once one gets addicted then it is hard to deal with the problem, most gambling addicts become nervous and even agressive if only you try to explain that gambling is not good and stuiff like that. Concelling should be asked for.

Gambling will affect the family in many ways not least in due to the fact that finances will be drained. You can list a whole load of other emotional problems, such as anxiety and anger, which obviously means that family life would be far from rosey.

As with anything being able to openly discuss the problem will help in many ways. At the very least it may make the addict feel open enough to ask fro help and start them on the road to recovery.

It's a tough problem to deal with but thats true of all addictions.

If it was at the very early stages then talking to your family will still work, and don't let them get engage to it so it wont be a habit and eventually a addiction.
