View Full Version : Apparent "Paranoid Thinking" - Is It Permanent?
If an individual has abused drugs and/or alcohol to the point where an inpatient rehab program has been used, how common is it - once they've stopped using - for that person to seem a little too "paranoid" about who is listening to his conversations, who is watching him, etc.?
Is this something that goes away after a while when drug use has stopped, or is it something that can stay even if the person never uses again?

I think in some people it might be depending on the years of drugs or other addicting habits that the person is going through. I think that the longer that a person is dealing with the use then the longer the effects would be had.

Do you really only think that it can happen when a inpatient rehab program has beed used. I do not think so. I think that there are many situations that can arise.
Again stating that if it goes away it depends on the person and the amount of damage they have caused themselves.

Perhaps the person you are talking about is suffering from mental health issues, perhaps brough on by the years of drugs abuse, or perhaps they were always present, and the drugs usage covered it. They sound like they need to see someone about it, either way.
