When you have a spiritual nature about you, it tends to leave while you are going through the addiction. However that does not mean you are left alone to deal with this. Many people think that God has left them during this time, when he is testing your faith in him and your strength as a person spiritually. I think that if you can gain spiritual healing the recovery process is much easier.

I am not sure about it but I look at addiction that needs to be cured , I do not look at it as this is what makes the person bad but more as some thing that needs to be cured .

Before spiritual healing, I think we should need mental healing if we are addicted. It means we should first frame our mind to fight addiction.
