When my father was still on the binged of drinking heavy i remember him almost wasting all the money he earns in his wonderful business and now it is all gone. I remember him arguing with my mom a lot and we even go to bars searching for him at my young age and tell him to go home when i see him in a bar because my mother would be outside crying and waiting. Sad for a growing kid.

That is often the result of drinking or drug use. I have known a few people who had great businesses who have lost them because of bad or addicting habits taking over their lives. Then they continue to do it because they have already lost everything.
