The best way to treat a addiction is to keep the person away from it through changing its mind specilly by doing some work which makes him/her busy.

I get your commitment to avoiding people, places and things associated with using as well as leading a productive life. That's really great. But just staying busy is way NOT enough. The way to treat the disease of addiction is by working a program of recovery. This may or may not include a period of confined or semi-confined treatment; but ALWAYS includes working steps with a sponsor, attending meeting, doing service and taking other suggestions.
It's perfect that we often think that to stop using is to treat addiction - it really illustrates that our disease is really a matter of the way we think. Of course it looks like that - but I can tell you that to stop using without recovery is a painful way to live.
Treating addiction is about un-learning and re-learning how to live life powerfully and beyond our wildest dreams.

Well for me best way is that keep support them. If addicted people get support from his/her friends and family than he or she can recover very fast from it.
