There are so many ways of meditations and it has become very confusing to understand the way people refer to this word. Share your own thoughts -

What do you understand by meditation and what is the purpose of meditation, in you view?

We meditate cause we have to get rid of all the trash that is in our head ans stay in the moment . When we meditate we are keeping our mind on the breath and watching what is going around .

I meditate to focus my mind from the rat race and into a more simpler mode of mind. I would imagine everyone does it for different reasons.
