I battled anorexia as a teen after being victimized by sexual abuse. Although I didn't realize it then, anorexia made me feel as if I was in control over something - my body - and I refused to eat and give up that control. As I got to know other anorexics, I found many of us felt out of control due to demanding parents, our own quest for perfectionism, etc. Just wondering if anyone else has found anorexia being linked to control issues?
