I have been taking 1-2 tsps. of this every day for the last 2-3 years. In the last year, my Dr. has told me I cannot have more than a 4 oz. bottle every month, because I started requesting it more frequently, even though I was surviving on 1 tsp a day. I know it has hydrocodone in it. When I run out, which is for 1-2 weeks sometimes, I don't think I have withdrawal symptoms, but I do want it because it makes me happy and relaxed, and I start in with the mood swings/irritability. I am also taking clonazepam for anxiety daily ( I can't run out of that or I go nuts) and 100 mgs. of zoloft daily. The zoloft really helps my depression and the clonazepam does it's job, but I still have irritable spells/mood swings and feel like I need a mood stabilizer a couple of times a day, and the cough med does this. I feel so relaxed, focused and clear for about 4 hours after I take just 1 teaspoon. So, am I addicted? Is there anything wrong with taking just this much daily? I'm sorry if these are stupid questions, but I am desperate, out of cough med, and need to know. Is there ANYTHING out there that would give me similar results, but not be narcotic, etc? Thank you SO much!
