Strangest Addiction?

What is the most strange thing you have heard of a person being addicted to? Ever hear of a red socks addiction, or white shirts? I know plenty of people are quirky and that others become obsessed to a degree that becomes like Monk off TV, so what is the most unusual addiction you've heard of?

What I think is strange is that people can be allergic to the foods they addictively crave. That seems so contradictory to me. Maybe our bodies think we will become immune to the allergin just as when we get allergy injections to cause us to be immune to pollens, dust, molds, etc. Will we eventually get to the point that we no longer want these foods?

This reduction in allergy by consumption of the allergen has been shown to be effective in children with peanut allergies. They were fed increasingly large amounts of peanut flour each day, until they had a tolerance of around 5-13 peanuts in one sitting.

These children previously suffered potentially fatal anaphylactic shock reactions to the peanuts. However it is unclear how long the effects would last if the treatment were discontinued.

Well there are many addiction are unusual addiction for me but I would say shoplifting is most strangest and unusual addiction ever I heard and know.

Shoplifting does not seem like such a weird and unusual addiction to me. I have seen weirder ones, like a girl who was addicted to wearing the color red. Also, some people are addicted to buying pets.

I have never heard of any one but I have myself been addicted to Caps. I wear caps anywhere I go. May be in parties, movies, shopping, anywhere.

I personally think that if someone has an addictive personality they can be addicted to anything. I couldn't begin to tell you the countless addicts that came through the detox unit I used to work on that would litteraly bring in bags and bags of different types of vitamins. If someone has an addiction and they do not get treatment and are not using mood altering substances, their addiction will move to different parts of their life no matter what it is.

addiction depends on the people's nature , many people has strange addiction of listening music , playing games on pc etc.
