I've known her for nearly a year. She has had some pretty crazy problems with meth in the past. I'm not going to judge her for her previously having a drug problem. She has supposedly been off of it for the past couple years. I know there are thousands of websites with lists upon lists of signs of use...
...I don't know. There have been a few instances in the past 2 or 3 weeks that make me question her. But I don't think straight up asking her is the best approach.
Here's the deal: A couple weeks ago we were discussing her prior problem and I asked her if she has used it since we have been seeing each other. She, of course, denied it, claiming she wouldn't be "eating like a horse" if she was using it.
I've not been around it enough to spot signs immediately. It also doesn't help that she is incredibly moody and at times, difficult to get along with.....which, to me, makes it harder to put my finger on anything.
We had a bit of a drunken argument, in public no less, and her ex's daughter was the bartender that night. When she was with this man, that was when she was at the peak of her use. It was relayed to me through grapevine that the ex's daughter said she looked "methed out". Now, I know she would know the look, since my girlfriend lived with this girl's father for 4 years.
I want to believe this girl is wrong, of course. She hasn't seen her in more than 2 years, and she was quite intoxicated at this point. I would also like to think my girl would be honest with me if I asked her.
