View Full Version : Too Big a Wuss For Heroin

There were times in my life that I consumed probably too much alcohol. I smoked and drank and occasionally the cigarette that I smoked had something in it that wasn't tobacco.

But I knew that I would never progress to anything harder. Hallucinations scared me too much to think about X or acid, and in truth I hate needles. I am aware of other ways of delivering harder drugs, but none that people I knew used.

Do people who inject just really not have issue with needles?!

Many people dont and some do but they are so excited by its use , that they forget the pain that needle gives

It's not just the pain thought for me; it's the thought that I am sticking something in my vein and then putting a chemical in there. The fear too of not knowing if this would be the trip that kills me. There is too much uncertainty for me.

I'm not a needle fan, either, and I hope I never become diabetic and need the shots. They're not intravenous, but still. Bleh.

Needles now are so small that you can't even feel them. If you shoot in your arm and do it quickly just make sure you hit a vein and you feel nothing. Just make sure it's in a vein or it'll burn like HOLY HOT CHIT! It hurts for a few days then.
If you can't stand to do it have someone who is good do it for you.. Nothing to it.
Better yet..don't even think about it.. Kind of a silly conversation from non-users unless the allure is just to much, but asking can lead there. be careful.

I'm thinking that perhaps for a user, the needles are nothing now, but for someone who isn't a user, the needle itself, small or not, is a big turn-off. For myself, I've no interest in recreational (or prescription) drugs. I like to keep my liver and kidneys in good working order.

Many users don't start off with injecting heroin. They start off by snorting the brown powder or by smoking the stuff on tin foil. Once they are hooked then I guess the needle becomes no problem as its the fastest way to get real high.

It's all part of chasing that first high. If the user thinks they have to use the needle to get that first high again then, heck yeah, pass it over.

There are people who smoke and snort heroin as well. Not sure what the differences in the effect on such means of ingested heroin have on the body vs injecting

It is not the needle but the urge which make them use needles fearlessly. I have never used needle beacuse I never used any hard drug.

I hear suppositories are a very good way of getting a hit quickly, but you don't often hear of many addicts taking their drugs that way! :) Personally. I'm petrified of needles, but if I do ever decide to take up a heroin addiction, thanks for the advice!

Its like some people have have and some people do not have. A person who is taking drugs through needle will never care that he have issue with needle. All the issues are go back when the urge arises in an addict.

The bottom line is that the most needle-squeamish person in the world will put all of that aside once they get hooked. I've seen it happen 100 times. Heck, the first time I shot up I let a friend do it, and I turned my head because the site of my blood would make me queasy. You get over that real quick.

This is the truth, after the first time you push that point into your vein and feel that rush you will stick any sice needle in your arm to relive that feeling agian.
