My friend was supposed to be going into court ordered rehab but instead she took off. I don't know where she is, what is the penalty if she gets caught? I'm assuming it's jail time? If so, do you have any idea how much? She was already ordered to go to rehab a few months ago and nearly got jail time. If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it.

what was the charge and is she still on the run, If so , she could go to jail for up to 10 years!

She's been on the run since last Friday. I don't know what the exact charge is. She was going to daily group meetings and stuff 5 days a week and they were testing her, I guess every visit? She got caught with a joint on her so she was ordered to go to in-patient rehab instead of jail, which was lucky.

10 years? What if she were to turn herself in? I can't believe this is happening :(

I don't think she will get 10 years, maybe a couple months at the most. You only get a couple of chances to slip, and it doesn't sound like she wants to stop so maybe jail might be her only choice?
