Once your alcoholic, you cannot control anymore of craving for alcohol. Your mind doesn´t work anymore if you have not taken alcohol. It is really a big problem if your alcoholic, imagine, trembling and sweating until you got to drink alcohol. The most effective way of treating it is to go to a therapy. And this costs very high.

Treatment doesn't have to be expensive. AA has been helping people for decades and it doesn't cost anything to go to the meetings. And then there are the offshoot groups to help families cope as well. It all starts with realizing there's a problem and deciding to do something about it.

Its okay to get a bit drunk sometimes to get the daily tension off your mind but only when you know your limits otherwise its better to stay off it.

It is very easy to say that we should control drinking but this is not so easy as it seems to be. People specially the youngsters find it very happening and cool to drink and smoke which is wrong. They are aware of the harmful effects but do not care about it.

I totally agree with you. People dont seem to realise when they have crossed the line and get inebriated.

its proved also that drinking moderately is not going to harm you but not many of the people understand it. They do not have the strong will to control themselves and often get driven away.

I can understand how it is? Its just like my smoking habit. I know that it is harming me but still I cannot resist the temptation of having just "one more". But I havent given up. After many unsuccessful attempts of quitting smoking, I start one of my attempts again.

There is nothing wrong in drinking alcohol as long as you maintain your limitations ans when you cross those limit then problem arises for you. It is going to be real tough for you to control things then.

The problem arises when people do not know their limitations or if they know it they do not respect their limitations.

Moderate drinking is not harmfull studies show that people who consume one glass of natural red wine a day have a healthier heart and have smaller chances to get a heart atack, so moderate drinking belive it or not, is sometimes benefic to many people.
