This U.S. General
Accounting Office report examines: (1) the extent to which certain drugs
can be purchased over the Internet without a prescription; (2) whether
the drugs are handled properly, approved by the Food and Drug Administration
(FDA), and authentic; and (3) the extent to which Internet pharmacies
are reliable in their business practices. Their conclusions suggest
that consumers should be extremely careful about using Internet pharmacies.

campuses, and the consequences and secondary effects of binge drinking.

Drug Policies: Selected Laws from the 50 States
This report, funded
by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is the first comprehensive reference
guide to illicit drug laws in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
It documents each state's scheduling and penalty provisions for selected
drugs, as well as medical marijuana. Drug offenders are subject to widely
different penalties, depending on the state in which they are prosecuted.
For example, selling Ecstasy may result in a penalty of one year to
life imprisonment and from $5000 to one million dollars in fines.
