Overcome Addictive Behaviors with SMART Recovery

Many people today are looking for help and support for their use, misuse or dependency to drugs, alcohol, gambling or other substances or activities that are affecting their life. SMART Recovery is an addiction recovery support group that's different from 12 Step group meetings. With SMART Recovery the participants learn tools for their recovery from addiction based on scientific research, it's free, they offer face to face meetings if they're open in your area or online meetings.

There's more than 600 face to face meetings around the world and over 18 online meetings each week. There's also a message board which is a forum where you can learn more about their program and receive support. SMART Recovery is free but they do ask for donations if possible. If you choose to attend their online meetings you do have to register at their message-board, which is a requirement.

I have been on methadone for a year. I used for the first time two weeks ago and haven't stopped since. I was doing so well and was getting the trust and respect back from my family and friends. I opened up my own business recently and have used every penny I make to get heroin. I think I got complacent with my recovery and thought I was cured? Haha..I know this is a lifelong thing that I have to fight. Before I had people telling me and urging me to do good. They would watch me progress, now I have everyone thinking I am ok and no one to talk to about whats going on without disappointing everyone. I have two lives right now. I need someone to tell me what to do because I'm not doing the right thing again. Every day I tell myself that I'm not going to touch heroin and by lunch time I am calling the drug dealer. I know exactly what I'm doing and I know that it's wrong but I do it anyways. I can't talk to the methadone clinic counselors because they will take my take homes away...I need someone to smack me in the head and tell me what to do ....just to get me back on the path again before everyone finds out my big double life secret...haha I'm so fucked in the head.
