What are Synthetic Drugs?

Synthetic drugs are designer drugs or drugs that are acquired through chemical purification and separation. Some examples of Synthetic drugs are LSD, Ketamine and Ecstasy, but there are many others that are available.

Designer drugs are illegal and synthetic laboratory made chemicals, but there is no real precisely defined way to refer to these drugs.

Quaaludes, methcathinone, Fentanyl and GHB are other examples of synthetic drugs that people can acquire and subsequently become addicted to.

The problem with synthetic drugs is that there is really no telling what they are being made with or who they are being made by. Different batches of the same drug can be vastly different and so some can be significantly more harmful than others. This is a big deal, because if you are taking one type of a synthetic drug and switch to a new batch, you may accidentally take more than you can handle. Synthetic drug deaths are some of the most common deaths related to drugs and substance abuse because it can take so little for one of these drugs to cause damage and harm. Anyone who is addicted to synthetic drugs of any kind should reach out for help from a drug rehab center in order to overcome the problem and move on with their life.

How are Synthetic Drugs Abuse?

Synthetic drugs are extremely addictive for many people. Some of the synthetic drugs abused are Ecstasy, Ketamine and LSD. These drugs produce a feeling of euphoria and a loss of time and realty. Though they are not physically addictive they are addictive psychologically. Use of these drugs over a period of time can build up a tolerance in the body. This means that they are will be less effective at getting the same feeling each time they are used. This promotes the use of higher dosages each time or shorter times between uses making them potentially deadly. Individuals can use these drugs in combination with other drugs such as heroin to increase the strength of the Heroin making it a better high but also providing an added element of danger to the drug use.

Those abusing these drugs, particularly Ketamine are able to steel it from veterinarians for distribution and use. The drugs are used in several manners some of them intravenously, others by creating a powder to snort and even make pills out of. The drugs are used in party settings and can easily be concealed in many cases such as LSD which can be put on paper when it is in liquid form to be chewed later. The use of these drugs causes the person to lose sight of reality which can in turn be deadly based on their environmental situation. If they are driving a car or about to try to jump from a building because they believe they can fly thanks to the drug, they are likely to get hurt or killed.
